No More Denture Glue

If you have missing teeth or live with poor oral health, conventional dentures can offer the perfect solution. But some wearers find dentures a hassle. Patients often tell us that dentures slip out when least expected – often at the most inconvenient moment. Others find dentures cause sore spots and sensitivity and many find themselves unable to eat favourite foods like steak or baked potatoes.

If you’re fed up with the daily battle with loose dentures and messy adhesives, implanted dentures by West Dental’s Dr Pritpal Singh could be the solution you’ve been searching for. Implanted dentures stay fixed in place via a series of discreet clips attached to titanium implants in the jaw.

You can remove implant-retained dentures whenever you need to. But – unlike conventional dentures – they only come out when you decide.

Feel the Benefits

Titanium implants act as a permanent and stable replacement for the teeth’s natural roots, so you can be confident your dentures will stay in place while you eat. You’ll also notice an end to pain points and sore spots. And because there is no upper pallet needed to keep them in place, you’ll find speaking is effortless and eating more enjoyable.

Implant-retained dentures also offer fantastic aesthetic and health benefits compared to their conventional counterparts. The biocompatible titanium implants prevent jawbone deterioration, lending vital support to the facial muscles and reversing the hollow facial appearance that is often a hallmark of extensive tooth loss.

But best of all, implanted dentures look and feel just like natural teeth. After a few hours, you’ll forget all about wearing them and find you can live, laugh, love – and eat – confidently again

Your Implant Journey

Start with a consultation with our implant team, led by expert restorative and cosmetic dentist Dr Pritpal Singh.

Pritpal and the team use the latest digital imaging and X-ray technology to assess your smile and begin designing a treatment plan.

Using our 3D imaging tech, they’ll also be able to show you a smile preview of how your implants will look after treatment.

The procedure itself is relatively quick and painless. Then, under local anaesthetic, our surgical team will place the implants. Of course, our digital planning suite helps out here, too – allowing us to carry out the procedure with absolute precision. Once the implants have healed, we’ll invite you back to the clinic to try on your new dentures, which will stay attached to the implants via secure clips.

And that’s all there is to it!

Implanted Dentures FAQs

  • Our implant dentist Dr Pritpal Singh will carry out a jaw-health assessment as part of your initial consultation. If you have low jawbone density or another dentist has told you that you are not a good candidate for implants, we can still help – using zygomatic implants and bone or sinus grafts to recover jaw density.

  • We’ll give you plenty of help and advice on looking after your implant-assisted dentures. With proper care, they will provide you with years of smiles.

  • Look after your new smile just as you would natural teeth – with regular brushing and mouthwash. We’ll also provide a comprehensive guide to caring for your implant-assisted dentures as part of our comprehensive aftercare services.

  • You can wear implant-assisted dentures at night. However, we recommend removing and soaking them overnight to keep them clean and free of bacteria.

  • You won’t be left without teeth at any point during your implanted denture journey. However, we may provide a temporary denture to wear while your implants heal after surgery.

  • Implants have been around for decades – since the 1960s, to be exact. It’s a tried and tested procedure with an excellent success rate.

  • If you have missing teeth, it’s essential to replace them as early as possible. Your remaining teeth can quickly crowd into the gaps left behind by lost teeth, causing potentially expensive orthodontic problems. Extensive tooth loss can also cause jawbone deterioration and make the face appear gaunt, sallow and prematurely aged – not a good look!
